Editorial Portfolio Recruitment Limited is an agency that specialises in business journalism roles. My clients include newswires, business intelligence companies and business magazine publishers. Because these clients represent some of the best companies in the industry to work for, I am always on the look out for talented journalists with a good understanding of business and the capital markets. The roles I handle range from some of the best entry level opportunities around right up to Managing Editor positions.

Because each company has a different culture and way of working, meeting candidates is essential to match both skills and personality. One of the main things I look to achieve with all candidates is to match them to companies that will deliver on both their ambition and expectations. Similarly with my clients I aim to deliver candidates that will not only fulfil the experience and skills needed but will also fit in to the team they will be working with.

Finding the perfect candidate is not always possible so I use my experience of the market to look for solutions that will work for both client and candidate.

My service includes headhunting, so I choose which companies I will work with and which one I will source candidates from. This gives me a greater degree of flexibility when looking for the ideal candidate - it also highlights the weakness of larger agencies who work with everyone, therefore preventing them from headhunting effectively.

Achieving the goals and aims set out above is not easy so Editorial Portfolio is not an agency that will submit eight CV’s for every brief, but what you do see will interest you and this, I hope, will lead to a more relaxed recruitment experience.
