| Long description | My client is a market leading provider of news and analysis on the metals markets - they are currently seeking a news and market reporter/editor to join their European metals group in London. Responsibilities will include market and news coverage on both a real-time and daily basis, as well as contributing to the weekly publication. The main focus of the role will be reporting and editing real-time news related to the European base metals markets. Further responsibilities will include sharing coverage of futures trading on the London Metal Exchange, producing physical price assessments and market commentary for one or more specific metals, editing copy from fellow staff members and freelance correspondents, and sharing responsibility for producing the daily print publication. This is a role which would suit someone with one or more years experience working on a weekly or daily financial news service, experience of the commodities sector would be an advantage but it is not essential. Because this roles involves covering pan European markets fluency in a second European language would also be a benefit, but again not essential. A confident and outgoing personality is essential because you will be dealing with traders and other market professionals on a daily basis. |
